 fedora 5 yum - should it work? Previous Topic

Subject: fedora 5 yum - should it work?

I believe yum used to work on my fedora 5 system, but it has been many years since I've messed with it.  I'd like to install mysql so I tried it and received this message.  With an updated yum config file should I expect yum to still work on this old version of fedora?

Support for Fedora 5 ended 3 years ago (mid 2007). Fedora 12
and 13 are the current supported versions.
