My server:
Fedora 8 (will be upgrading to CentOS 5.4 on a new server soon)
MD 1.94.5
I have over 150 separate email groups with a total of 6200 subscribers.
Almost every time someone sends and email through the groups using a
Blackberry phone, I get this type of stuff (shortened because enough is
there to see what it is):
--------------------------- Original Message ----------------------------
Nrz^jǯȭij)`jh&Qٕ́役ȁȁѥݥѠ-ɰ$ݥѠѡ́ѕѥ4(4)4(4)MЁѡ9܁9ݽɮdɽMɥҸ
--------------------------- End ------------------------------
Have any of you seen this in your MD groups? I would really like a solution.
Thanks

What you sent arrived as non ascii noise, no headers, so no clue.
I suggest you take an entire mail including headers & uuencode it
& post it, then we can see what you can see.
Presumably Blackberry is sending some font/ unicode/ foreign char
set/ maybe even double byte/ fancy modern crap. Whatever, once we
can see header & mime enclosure delimeters etc, it can be analysed,
& hopefully a solution suggested.

The header information doesn't include any mime information because it's
stripped out by the demime plugin. I'll see about any font information.
Thanks for your response.

| I've seen it on email from both Blackberrys and iPhones. I *think* it's
because the mobiles send messages encrypted from the mobile device.
In the examples I saw, the mail was being routed via AOL, and arrived at
the majordomo list looking pretty much like your example. I've not
identified a solution...

Thanks for the update. I'll have to check the accounts the Blackberry
phones are using. I haven't heard anything from any iPhone users. . .
yet.
