BlueQuartz is the organization, founded by the Cobalt Users Group, to support the porting and maintenance of the source code for the Sun Cobalt RaQ 550 server. In December 2003, Sun Microsystems released the source code for the popular RaQ 550 software under an Open Source based license. The Cobalt Users Group continues to participate in the deployment and porting tasks for the RaQ 550 based BlueQuartz system.
